The whole series of specialty control valves series 1-4800, used for high pressure urea service, are  now approved by ABSA, the pressure equipment safety authority authorized by the Alberta Government for the administration and delivery of safety programs related to pressure equipment piping systems in Alberta (Canada).

Parcol presence in urea plants is dated back to early ‘70s and nowdays hundreds of control valves are used all over the world in plants having both ammonia and carbon dioxide stripping urea technology.

Typical service are on liquid and gaseous carbamate, liquid ammonia, carbon dioxide, urea solution and melt urea.

The main licensee in urea technology  are Casale, Saipem (Snamprogetti), Stamicarbon and Toyo Engineering.
